Greater Colorado, Legal Deserts, and Rule of Law

Attorneys practicing in Greater Colorado play a vital role in maintaining access to justice and upholding the rule of law in communities with limited legal resources. This session examines the challenges of practicing in legal deserts, where professional isolation, broad practice demands, and resource constraints place increased pressure on attorneys and the systems they support. Participants will explore how these conditions affect decision-making, sustainability, and professional effectiveness, and how resilience and adaptability support both individual practitioners and the broader legal system.
During the lunch hour, Charlie Willman, President of the Colorado Bar Association, will present his CLE, Greater Colorado, Legal Deserts, and Rule of Law. His presentation will address the unique challenges facing Greater Colorado, core rule of law priorities, insights gathered from the CBA Listening Tour, and ongoing efforts to expand access to justice—highlighting the critical connection between strong legal institutions, community trust, and the long-term health of Colorado’s legal profession.
Catering will be provided by Spoons.
The lunch CLE will run from noon-1pm in the JAR.

4. Review your Cart to verify the type and amount of your ticket purchase. If OK, then click Checkout to proceed.
5. Finalize your Registration by entering your Email again and Continue, then Payment/Billing information and Continue.
6. Review your purchase and Continue. Print your Confirmation page. You will then receive an email confirming your event registration.
