There is an informal group of Trust and Estate lawyers called the LCBA Trust & Estate Committee. The group meets and hears speakers five times a year, from September through May, usually on the fourth Wednesday of the month of September, January, March, and May and on the first Wednesday of December. Larimer County celebrated its 5th Annual National Adoption Day event on November 18, 2016. The event is always held on the Friday before Thanksgiving. There are adoption proceedings all day in two courtrooms, and after each adoption proceeding, the child and his/her family & friends are invited to the heavily-decorated Party Room to celebrate their special day with music, gifts for the children, entertainment, & photographs.
