Presented by Ms. Kerry McCarthy, Clinical Coordinator Colorado’s Lawyer Assistance Program (COLAP)
The practice of law is becoming more stressful during these uncertain and changing times. Learn how to make “stress work for you” from a neurobiological and neurophysiological perspective and how to build resiliency in order to avoid the physical, emotional, and cognitive effects of stress. This presentation will help you understand the impacts of stress and provide strategies & tools for building resiliency and managing stress effectively. You will also learn about free and confidential assistance available to you through the Colorado Lawyer Assistance Program (COLAP) along with other resources that are available to support the wellbeing of you, your colleagues, and your firm as you adapt to the ever-changing work environment.
Ms. McCarthy is a Clinical Coordinator for COLAP. She earned her M.A. in Mental Health Counseling and Behavioral Medicine from Boston University, School of Medicine. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Colorado and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Washington state. Ms. McCarthy has experience in both the treatment and clinical supervision of behavioral health issues, specializing in mood and personality disorders, trauma, crisis response and violence prevention.
This CLE is accredited for 1 General or 1 Ethics Credit
