The 8th Judicial Branch of Colorado is now accepting applications for Law Clerk positions for the 2026–2027 cycle. This year, the 8th Judicial Trial Courts are recruiting up to five (5) Law Clerks to support District Court Judges.
These positions offer exceptional hands-on experience within the court system and are ideal for recent law school graduates or individuals interested in judicial service and gaining practical courtroom experience.
Position Overview
Law Clerks work closely with District Court Judges and court staff and are actively involved in the judicial process. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Conducting legal research
Drafting orders and memoranda
Assisting judges with case preparation and analysis
Collaborating with judicial officers and court personnel
